Can I create an account with ETZ if I do not have an IRA?
No, ETZ only caters to clients with established IRAs at one of our participating SDIRA Providers
What account types are supported?
Traditional, Roth, SEP, SIMPLE, Inherited (Traditional/Roth), Solo 401k
What platform is the trading on? Is storage secure?
Trading and Custody is provided by Coinbase Prime. Coinbase is the gold standard of institutional grade storage.
Can I move coins into a private wallet?
No, all asset holdings must be custodied by Coinbase Prime per IRA regulations.
Can I take an IRA distribution of the actual coins in-kind?
No, you will need to sell the assets and ETZ will move cash back to your SDIRA. This is for security purposes.
What are the fees? How are they charged?
0.9% on trades
0.4% annual Coinbase custody fee
Charged directly against the assets in the account
Can I transfer BTC from a different IRA provider to ETZ in-kind?
No, you can only deposit cash into your ETZ account. No in-kind movement (in or out). This is for security purposes
What if I have a Traditional and a Roth IRA?
You will have 2 accounts under one ETZ profile. The IRS is very particular that assets from your Traditional and Roth IRAs stay seperate.
If I have assets in an ETZ Traditional IRA account, can I convert them in-kind to a Roth IRA?
This will be case-by-case in accordance with your SDIRA Provider.
Can I stake coins in my ETZ account?

Can I invest on ETZ using my Checkbook IRA LLC/Trust?
No, ETZ only caters to direct custody clients of SDIRA providers and custodians
